Client: West Packard Marketing Design
Role: Co-designed visual design, developed CMS theme
West Packard Marketing Design is a graphic design firm in Northern California that serves small to medium local businesses. While at the firm, I developed a strategy to counter infrequent updates to our website that had resulted in outdated work being showcased. I determined that we needed an easy-to-use content management system (CMS). I chose Wordpress for its user-friendly back-end, which would invite more frequent updates and more current content.
I co-designed the layout of the site and then developed the Wordpress template. We didn't want the site to look like a blog, which Wordpress sites typically are. So, the template I produced removed the superfluous Wordpress functions, leaving a clean, easy to use gallery of our best work that is simple to update.
