How’s this for a content strategy? Just write.

So I need to fess up. I’ve sinned. I’ve let you down. I’ve stopped writing on my blog for over a month now. I promised at the beginning of the year that I would write at least one blog entry a week. I was actually doing pretty well until this summer.

Then it fell apart.

I’ve actually been quite busy with work and our young daughter, but there are lots of prolific bloggers out the with far busier schedules than mine.

I’ve also been working hard on a redesign for the site. It’s getting very close at the moment. I hope to have it up with the next few weeks.

But I’ve also been struggling with what my content plan should be. Content strategy has been a very important evolution in the industry in the last few years, and with good reason. However, I’ve become paralyzed with confusion about how I should go about it with my site.

Then I remembered – you also need to just write. Get the keyboard clacking. Sometimes you just shouldn’t over think it. All the strategy in the world won’t help what isn’t there.
