Definitely a Designer joke
December 18th, 2006The idea for this joke really isn’t mine: I had a friend in college, Erin Blythe, who went through the Design program with me. She said one day that she was working so much that she would start saying commands out loud in conversation- specifically “command-z! command-z!”. For the non mac-users in the crowd, that’s the PC equivalent of “ctrl-z”, or “undo”.
I don’t know why that chunk of information surfaced again after seven years, but that’s where this idea came from.

Since you explained what Ctrl Z it is funny!! Sorta like the Back function in the Internet Explorer browser.

SO TRUE! Girls ALWAYS ask that question! We should know better but we ask anyway…
I LOVE the expressions in this one. Hit it right on.
(Aside: Do you know HOW MANY times it would be useful in life to have a command-z function?! Chip, invent one for us. Thanks!)

Hey, I hadn’t been to the site in awhile, and it took me some time to get reoriented to what was going on. But I will say, that you got me to write, so that is a good sign I think for what you are doing.
I really like the creative design industry idea, I think there is unlimited potential there and I am not biased here (being a designer of some sort). With the popularity of The Office, and with Mike’s Judge Office Space, which was many years ago now, it has been a proven setting that people relate to.
And, it is “what you know” which is such a valid mantra when working with a writing infused creative outlet.
