I’m taking a small break from Mad Cackle strips to show some editorial cartoons that I just created. This is the first of three. I’m entering the “Science Idol: the Scientific Integrity Editorial Cartoon Contest”. It’s put on by the Union of Concerned Scientists and is asking for cartoonists to submit cartoons addressing politics and science. My entries all revolve around the president; I’m not deeply knowledgeable on scientific issues, so I thought I’d emphasize the politics of our government and their scientific policy.

This first cartoon is making fun of the fact that South Dakota- SOUTH FRIGGIN’ DAKOTA - hit 115 degrees last week. And still there are those who think global warming is a myth. That’s just not right.
